I noticed the Remove Disease spell both on the witch spells on the srd witch list, but also on the patron spell list for the healing patron. Why does it appear twice? Is it free/automatic from the patron list? Sorry if I am confused. I am not at home so its harder to skim the prd and srd on my mobile.
Thanks.

So it just saves the normal effort of acquiring the spell? Fair enough I guess, tho I prefer getting spells that arent otherwise on the list at all.
Thanks!
Don't knock getting them for free. Remember normally you actually have to FIND those spells on an actual spell scroll to learn them. Witches can't just talk a wizard into letting them look over their spellbook to learn it.
Heck and at the cost of a mid to high level spell on a scroll can get scary expensive. A 4th level spell starts at 700GP a pop and 9th levels are like 4000GP each and that's assuming you can actually FIND a 9th level spell on a scroll. For spells I know I want getting them via the Patrons list can save you a fortune and guarantees you actually find it.

If you'd like, I specifically denote every single redundant patron spell in my witch handbook with red text and an asterisk at the end of the name, specifically in this post at the bottom (click the spoiler button).

Well they can have their familiar commune with another witch's familiar for pretty much the same result though.
Yes, usually I would say getting spells that are not on the spell list is preferable, if those spells are in any way useful at least. A useless new spell that you'll never prepare is still worse than a free spell that you'll use twice every day.
So picking a patron with 9 new spells might not be as good as a patron with just 6 new spells, if those 6 are generally better or fit your concept more, even if it gives you 3 "redundant" spells.
