What's the most useful / powerful 1st level spell that an alchemist can't replicate?

I have an alchemist that has received the ability to cast, once per day, a single 1st level spell from any class. What spell do you think I should pick?

Grease is good. Unseen servent or floating disk could certainly be entertaining when combined with delayed bomb on a creative alchemist, however. Ill omen is a good way to increase the chances of an opponent failing the save against your bomb's effects. What CL will the spell be at; 1 or your hd?

If it is from ANY class, I'd advice to look in to the paladin or ranger spell list, since sometimes the have the equivalent to lvl2 spells for other classes

EDIT: After a quick check, I'd suggest

Honeyed tongue (if your GM favors heavy RP)

Entangle (If you favor utility)

Lead Blade/Gravity bow (if you favor melee or ranged DPS)

Hunter's Howl (more to hit and damage than the above, shorter duration. Depends if your ability will scale with hd or will remain at lvl1)

It is cast at his character level. Good suggestions, by the way!

If a melee bruiser Alchemist, Greater Magic Weapon/Fang might be cool.

Interesting suggestions. It can be a spell from any class, so these are all valid. The character is a gnome that mostly uses utility powers and throws bombs.

It would be good if the spell were one that he would almost always use during the course of an adventure, because he has ways of getting access to 1st level spells that are only going to be used circumstantially.
