Oracle's Curse

I have a question about the oracle´s curse, particularly the clouded vision. the Advance Players Guide states:
You cannot see anything beyond 30 feet, but you can see as if you had darkvision.

Does that mean that you cannot see, but that the first 30ft are in darkvision? or that you can only see up to 30ft and the rest of your "normal" sight is darkvision.

Also, to get a perspective on darkvision, can you say that what you see in darkvision is like what watching old black and white television was.

I read it as you only have darkvision out to 30 feet period. You have no 'normal' vision at any distance.

This one is a pretty brutal curse.

You can not see beyond 30 feet, but the you do have darkvision for the first 30 feet.

Darkvision is in black and white. I don't know if it was as good as B&W televisions since you can see differences in other colors on those.

Thanks, I thought so too, but did not want to short-change myself if I was wrong. May use it in conjunction with a ghestalt build I am playing with some friends. The other half of this is a Sword Sorcerer (kind of like the magus) but can only use bladed weapons, so PC has to be up close and personal at all times.
