Okay, there are lists of legal Animal COmpanions, Familiars, Mounts and such. Unfortunately, I don't recall seeing any such list for legal base creatures for the Undead Lord's Corpse Companion.
Now, there are two questions involved here.
1) What creatures from each Bestiary are legal to use as the source for a Corpse Companion in PFS?
Obviously, any of the Core races should be available, but are wolves, riding dogs, otyughs, etc. available?
2) Besides plain vanilla Skeletons and Zombies, what variants are legal for PFS Corpse Companions?
Flaming or acid, probably, alchemical probably not, but how about Bloody Skeletons?

As far as I know, you can apply the "skeleton" template to any monster of appropriate HD and make it your corpse companion. I'm also not sure *how* this got booted to the wrong forum. I'll flag to get it retransplanted back to the PFS boards, as this is definitely a PFS issue.

That is what my starting point is, but, since there isn't just a blanket "All Animal Companions are ok for PFS" or "All Familiars are okfor PFS" or even a "All bestiaries are ok for play in PFS", I thought it might need to be handled by some sort of entry (or entries) in the Additonal Resources page.
At present, one can assume that all creatures with skeletons are eligible to be made into a Corpse Companion, or that only creatures approved for use as Animal COmpanions can be used to make Corpse Companions, or all approved ACs and Familiars can be used, or that nothing, since nothing is listed, is approved. That will run into way too much potential table variation.

Well, I flagged it once I saw it over here, as well, since it is NOT a rules question, at all, but a PFS question.
To reiterate: What creatures are legal in PFS for an Undead Lord Cleric to use as the base for creating a Corpse Companion?
For a regular campaign, of course, the answer is "Ask your GM." Which is what this thread was attempting to do before it got moved to the general rules forum from the general PFS forum.

Try searching the PFS rule section here in the forums. If I recall, there was an (in)official (or something) post from a designer, that you can start the game with a simple human skeleton, and anything you kill is viable for getting turned into a corpse companion, the DM just needs to check it.
That, or then it was "just bestiary 1".
I'm sorry, I'd like to be more helpful, but I don't have time to search and don't remember for sure.
