I had a char who was the grand child of a frost giant jarl in a short game we did last year for San adventure to try out high level chars. I used it as justification to use a giants bastard sword then with an aslchedmy theme played at the giant features commingle out.
Mechanically though it does nothing but give the party dwarf ranger with favoured enemy giants a reason to smother you in your sleep. Its really something you need to negotiate with your dim for story purposes.
The prophecy says only a man with the blood of giants who can fit through this two foot hole can save the kingdom.... or something.

One thing hit me while thingking about this:
If I play a guy with racial heritage and one or more feats for which I only qualify because of racial heritage and then I'm reincarnated or in some other way transformed into something else than human I'll lose all those feats, don't I?
The requirement for racial heritage is human. If I somehow stop being a human I can't use it any more, so I stop beiing what ever it made me be and thus can't lose the feats I took with racial heritage, right?
And I thought it could be a good idea to make a reincarnated druid who still retained some spiritual part of his first body and thus counts as say an ogre as well as what he currently is.
