I tried downloading the lite pdf. then once it looks like its going to start the page shifts and tells me the link is wrong. this is on tablet on a bus though my earlier pdf download
That is strange. Which product are you attempting to download and what is the exact error message?
first the inner sea workd guide as my test. theultimate combat. i am home now i will try on tablet again. then home pc to see if its a tablet

Core, UM, and UC look like they are smaller for me (about 20MB smaller each). The APG and Bestiaries were roughly the same size as my original downloads. Meanwhile, the ISWG actually grew by about 60MB (a 30% increase).
Hopefully, they'll keep working at it until the file sizes are as optimized as the speed...

@Laithoron, that is incorrect. The APG downloaded from Paizo March 26th is only 51MB while the one downloaded now is 110MB for some reason (and I'm not even talking about the LITE one which is ~104MB). That's an enormous difference. There's something wonky going on with the APG and ISWGs (which is actually 90MB larger - an over 60% increase in filesize). You're only comparing to the "updated" non-LITE versions rather than the versions from before the LITE one was introduced.
Actually I was comparing them to the size of the ones that I already had on my machine. Couldn't tell you when I downloaded them non-lite versions, however, because I blew away the old files with the new ones.
I do know that my APG copy was downloaded sometime last year though, so no, I'm not comparing the current "Lite" versions to the current "non-Lite" versions. This is why I said, "smaller for me," since I'm aware the the sizes of the PDFs change over time.
I tried downloading the GameMastery Guide and last week the single file version was 70MB and today it is 135MB and the Lite version is 140MB.

We have tracked down what is causing the file size bloat, and there will be an update fairly soon with more slimmed down file sizes :)
