I'm currently playing a 9th level Wizard that is specialized in Necromancy, and she's just acquired a Ghast as a pet. She doesn't want it to be destroyed too quickly.
So I'm trying to find spells that the wizard can cast that would heal undead... and have not been able to find any (Enervation gives temp HP.... but doesn't cure)...
Does anyone know of any Sor/Wiz spells that cure/heal Undead?
[btw, my DM is currently only allows PF books, no others...]
So far, the only spells I've found were Inflict(s), which are cleric only and my party doesn't have a cleric (only a druid - who probably wouldn't help my undead anyway since he has "morals" (sheesh! :) ))
is it just me, or does it seem wrong that wizards can create, deal damage and destroy undead, but not be able to heal 'em?
Even Chill Touch specifically states that it causes Undead to flee (if save fails), vs. allowing the Negative Energy to cure it.... (grr).
thanks,

Infernal Healing from the Inner Sea World Guide gives Fast Healing 1 for 1 minute. (So essentially restores 10 HP over a minute.)
Also, you could try to buy a Wand of one of the Inflict <X> Wounds spells, and try to Use Magic Device on it. Or buy Potions of Inflict spells. It's more expensive, but there's no chance of jamming your wand for the day.

Not in core. If you can create wondrous items, you can create an item that lets you use an inflict spell as a command word by upping the craft DC by +5, or having the party's cleric aid in the creation (to keep the DC low). That can get you where you want to be.
Alternatively, if you're open to non-core or homebrew material, the old negative energy spells from Neverwinter Nights might be exactly what you're looking for. There are two spells in particular.
Negative energy ray and its big brother negative energy burst. Neither deal much damage, but they have some cool features. Both ignore energy resistances due to being negative energy, but they're cool for necromancers, since the negative energy burst comes with an awesome debuff that also buffs undead. Since it has a medium (100 ft + 10 ft./level) range and spreads like a fireball (20 ft. radius), it's very good as combo mass-debuff/light damage attack that functions as a mass-buff + light heal for undead.
Negative energy burst is cool because the Strength penalty applies even on a successful save (which only halves the damage), and undead are healed by the damage it would deal and instead get a bonus to Strength. It would be good to determine the duration of the penalty and buff (since the game version doesn't mention how long they last, but the penalties/buffs vanish after you rest; implying that they last for a day) but I'd recommend making the duration "Instantaneous; 1 hour/level; see text" and noting that the Strength bonuses or penalties last an hour per caster level and may be dispelled.

Actually, I just considered that there is a few ways, but you probably won't like them. Limited wish and wish can both be used to mimic divine spells of level X and lower (5th for limited, 7th for wish), which can net you spells like inflict critical wounds, or harm. Personally I think harm should be cast-able with limited wish because heal is as well (see Adept spell list); so you should check with your group to see if that would be alright as well.

Hey, greate info / suggestions...
I'll have to pick up an Infernal Healing scroll somewhere to write in my spellbook... :) (thanks Harley)
Scott - good Idea, I had thought about modifying Chill Touch (since it is negative energy), but variants of Animate Dead (and Lesser) on already undead to cure 'em could work also...
Ashiel - I'll take a look at these... My DM will allow for homebrewed / modified / PC created spells (with his vetting, of course :)... and you're right... limited wish & wish are totally viable, however they are a bit costly to cast... ;)

With GM's permission you might be able to summon a Daughter of Urgathoa or an Elder Negative Energy Elemental respectively as a 7th and 8th level spell. Not sure the heal skill works, but intelligent undead should heal 'naturally'. An Ioun Stone of regeneration, possibly with a pathfinder to keep it a bit safer might speed up it's healing.
