Attacks of Opportunity and Combat Maneuvers

Does anyone know if someone can do a combat maneuver (for example a trip maneuver) as an attack of opportunity?

If possible could you cite where you see the rules in the book please?

If the CM requires a standard action then it cannot be used for with AoO. This is stated in the base rules for CMs.

combat maneuvers such as:trip, sunder, disarm are all used "in place of an attack action" this means you can substitute an attack with a combat maneuver."
you cannot however substitue an attack for a combat maneuver that requires anything over an attack action to to execute i.e. grapple bullrush dirty trick.
