do they stack? the class features they modify are all different. They both modify armor proficiency which i am unsure if that is a conflicting item

Assuming that I intend to get Cavalier to Level 2 and then spends 4 levels as beastmaster ranger, taking boon companion feat at level 3 and picking the same animal companion as my cavalier's mount, what would be your mount's effective level at level 6 and 7?

Animating a four year old thread to ask a completely different question is generally considered very bad manners.

If your animal companion for both Cavalier and Ranger are the same one, and you do not split any of your effective druid levels into new beasts, then Boon Companion will let you have a companion equal to your level.

Every effective druid level you split to a new companion takes away from this companion, though.
