I have been in a discussion about a Simulacrum not functioning in an Antimagic field and after reading the description for AMF, it says that it effects anything except for instantaneous conjurations and the spells Wall of Force, Prismatic Sphere and Prismatic Wall. A few people are claiming since Simulacrum is an instantaneous spell it is immune to AMF and I say that is wrong. Simulacrum is a Shadow Illusion spell and not a conjuration.
According to RAW, the spell would be suppressed until the field is moved or it expired which then would cause the Sim to function again.
Any thoughts?

If cast before the field I would say that it has a chance of working inside, but it cannot be cast inside the field and have any hope of success

A simulacrum in 3.5 was considered a construct, meaning it would function inside an AMF. I would still consider the duplicate to be a construct in PF even though it isn't explicit.
I would also rule the 'disguise' portion of the spell suppressed inside the field, meaning it would be an obvious fake but still active.
And no, the spell to create a simulacrum could not be cast inside an AMF.
good question, I would houserule as Vendle does but RAW might suggest that it is suppressed, altough I believe it's a simple oversight.
