Hi all,
I haven't been sending out the manuscript recently because we've been hard at work on compiling the whole everything for this AP in one delicious package.
Check out the Forest Kingdom Campaign Compendium Kickstarter going on now!
You'll see the tournament rules in their final form, and so much more for this AP!

@halo: as Jason explained directly above, he has not sent out the manuscript in some time because Legendary Games has it compiled into a compendium.
Since you likely missed that Kickstarter, you will have to wait until the product becomes widely available for sale (after the backers get their copy first).

Or if you want to make a pledge even though the KS is over, check the Kickstarter site and then send us an email at makeyourgamelegendary@gmail.com and rfvrpg@gmail.com with your pledge selection and we'll send you a Paypal invoice.

That is totally a much better alternative to what I said, :)

Jason, can you share some of the general plans for the Tournaments section of the Forest Kingdom compendium? It presumably can't be as specific to Kingmaker and Ivrotti's Rushlight Tournament as your original manuscript. I guess it will contain rules for various tournament contests, each of which plays to different classes' strengths?

There are other options. Search for 'Tournament' in the Kingmaker board. I got ...
"Another suggestion- look through the early parts of "War of the River Kings" for inspiration from the Rushlight Tournament."
Or this resource from two different sources.

Or Google D20 Tournaments

Interestingly, I'm finishing up my Rushlight tournament. While we did spend time with the events and had fun with them, the REAL action was in the socializing between events. We didn't do heavy RP, but our focus was on the politics of the events, influencing various groups, and all that. If you're going to spice up the Rushlight Tournament, I strongly suggest using intrigues.

I will have to check the Intrigue system to see if it will work out for my group. We meet online only for gaming in the last two to three years so I am not sure if running the tournaments with a stronger emphasis on rp will work.
If I could arrange for my group to meet in person (it is possible, just difficult due to conflicting schedules and work-life balances), I think I will spice it up with some servings of booze, bbq food, and adding some festive decor to help them get into the spirit of things, :)
