False teeth are often radioactive. Approximately 1 million Americans wear some form of denture; half of these dentures are made of a porcelain compound laced with minute amounts of uranium to stimulate fluorescence. Without the uranium additive, the dentures would be a dull green color when seen under artificial light.

Oh I remember it well. Pulp Fiction was ROBBED! I'm always amazed by the hollywood establishment's propensity for utter wankery. Between a genuinely good and innovative film, and a steaming white elephant, they'll almost always choose the latter. Best picture has passed up some great movies for some really dang mediocre ones.

The average soccer ball is made up of 32 leather panels and held together by 642 stitches.
And the average soccer ball used prior to that could cut up your eyebrow if you headed it where it was stitched together.
(We found one in an attic when I was a kid, and dang did it get heavy when it was wet - which leads me to:)
Among former soccer players, central defenders (who heads the ball more often than others) from back in the day has a higher degree of Parkinson's disease than players in other positions.

Aberzombie wrote:DVDs are physically the same size as a CDs but can store about 13 times more data.Similarly, a stardard dual-layer Blu-ray disc has a capacity about 5x as much as a typical DVD.
This is largely possible due to the fact that Blu-ray discs are read by a blue laser, which allows for greater amounts of data compression than the longer wave-length red lasers used with DVDs.
Then again pretty much all of the above are either almost obsolete, or very close to being so, thanks to streaming.

If you were to stand in Grand Central Station for a year, you'd absorb as much radiation as if you swallowed a radium watch, or about 25 X-Rays from the low level radiation in the granite.

If you were to stand in Grand Central Station for a year, you'd probably have been better off taking the bus.

-Napoleon intended to invade England with a hot-air balloon fleet, but logistics and time ended up scrapping the plan.
