I recently moved to Kingsport, Tennessee for work, and I can't seem to find anyone in the area who plays tabletop RPGs. I'd be interested in either Pathfinder or Shadowrun 4e, and possibly other systems. With gas the way it is, I'd like to stay in the tri-cities area, so anything in Knoxville is out. Anybody out there?

I've only DM'd an online game with my brothers, but I'd be open to DMing if I had a group. But so far I've found 0 people interested; everyone here only plays miniatures wargames. But there is a place up in Wise, Virginia called Cavalier Comics that hosts Society games every month or two. What city do you live in?

i do believe so he said he had a friend and maybe one other interested, and i wouldn't consider 3.5 a more primitive system, i consider pathfinder to be 3.7 in fact almost everything from the two systems is transferable to one another, it almost seemed when D&D 4e failed miserably paizo jumped in and picked up where wizards should of left off. but if you aren't interested it's cool, if i find any pathfinder games i'll keep you in mind.

I just relocated to the Greeneville area - close enough to the Tri-Cities for my purposes - and I'm looking for gaming, too. I sent Prater et al a message and am waiting to hear back. In the meantime... anyone still interested? I can run if I have to, but I did a lot of running back in my old group, so I am looking to play - meaning that if I am going to run, I'd have to be assured of a game I can play in, in return. I'd rather just sit on the outside of the screen for a while, though, if possible.

Hey, good to hear from you. I've actually started a weekly game of Pathfinder Society in Kingsport, which is less than an hour from Greeneville. However we've hit the maximum number of players, so if you wanted to come, you'd probably have to GM (or find me another GM)
On the other hand, I did visit Greeneville several weeks ago, and they have a comic/game shop there, and some people seemed interested in playing Pathfinder. You should check them out: http://www.showcasecgc.com/

I know this is an old post but wanted to follow up on the thread. We have an established group in the tri-cities area that has been playing for the last 15 years and recently lost 2 of our gm's due to life events. Due to my schedule I'm unable to properly prepare a game in the manner I'm familiar with and we have made a decision as group to seek a new group to merge with if it can be found. We currently have 3-4 players in which most of us have 18 - 20+ years of expierence with D&D 3.0, 3.5, AD&D, Heroes Unlimited, Vampire, Pathfinder, Shadowrun, etc.
I will be making a main post with this information, but thought I should see how your group is doing player wise.
