John Benbo RPG Superstar 2011 Top 8 |

I've been slacking too. Kickstarter can be a bit of a crap shoot. Zombie Sky Press couldn't 10,000 grand for "It Came from the Stars" the first time around but another PF project I pledged to from BlackStar Studios managed to meet a 10-11 thousand dollar goal. Steampunk stuff seems to do rather well, judging by the number of successful steampunk games on there.

I hear you. I jumped in on that project (although I've been slacking about following up on the boards; I've only visited once) and I was concerned that Sailing the Starlit Seas wasn't going to make theirs, but they did and I believe that was around the 4k mark.
One thing I like about Kickstarter recently is that I'm able to follow some of my friends when they pledged to a project so I receive an e-mail what it was to see if I'm interested.
Money is extremely scarce for me right now, I have to be frugal. This would be something I'd probably take a jump on at the very beginning of May if possible. At the least, I figured a lot of others didn't know about it and I suspected there are more fans of the SteamPunk genre out there. Spreading the word helps! :)
There's also a Facebook Page, too.

I didn't even know a Kickstarter existed for this until someone else brought it to attention this morning. Definitely caught my intrigue since it's SteamPunk, but I have concerns whether the goal being asked might be a bit too high. Anyone else came across this?
I have seen it and I even linked to it on the Kickstarter thread. I am keeping it in mind as a possible support, but its going to come due at a bad time for me, so I'm somewhat on the fence. I encouraged them on their facebook page to post something on this forum, but there was no response to that.

Yup! I saw your handiwork. They really need to better advertise their project. It should be a no-brainer to target here, EnWorld, and a couple other sites than to depend on posting fliers at the LGS. When May comes around and if my situation is the same (which seems to be the case these days), I'll decide then if I want to consume ramen for a week. ;-)
Again, my only apprehension is that there isn't anyone on the design roster that has a name I recognize and I wonder if the goal can be met. But as someone mentioned elsewhere, Kickstarter pledging is a funny thing and sometimes unpredictable. Only if we had Rich Burlew's luck.
