Rapid Attack (Ex)
At 11th level, a mobile fighter can combine a full-attack action with a single move. He must forgo the attack at his highest bonus but may take the remaining attacks at any point during his movement. This movement provokes attacks of opportunity as normal.
So if I'm reading this correctly, the character with this ability could for example move 10 feet, attack, move another 10 feet, then attack again?

That is how I have always understood it. Or, if say you were playing a 2-weapon fighter you could attack, 5ft step, attack 5ft step... and so on and so forth until you are either out of attacks or out of movement...
Careful! None of those would be considered "5ft steps"; they'd be normal movement and would provoke AoO's as normal.

A TWF is exactly what I had in mind. So my next question would be when you forgo your highest attack is that for each weapon or just your primary weapon?

These would not be 5-foot steps, but one movement with pauses to attack. He will still provoke for leaving threatened squares like normal.
So he could move five feet, attack, continue moving five more feet, attack again, etc.

Very true... sorry I always refer to it as a 5ft shift if its the free action equivalent... so yes they would take AoO doing that, also no you wouldn't looses every attack that is based of your highest... you would only loose your main hand attack.
