Greetings,
I'm trying to figure out how cleric-scribed divine scrolls work with oracles--particularly the requirement to have the "requisite ability score". For clerics, it is assumed that if they have the requisite Wisdom score (and it's on their spell list, they can attempt to use a divine scroll without resorting to UMD--that's it. oracles, however, use Charisma to cast their spells. Do they just use their Charisma score for the requirement instead, or must they have Wisdom to use cleric scrolls? Similarly, would clerics have to have sufficient Charisma to use an oracle-scribed divine scroll?
Basically, as GM, do I need to track what class made a scroll?
This gets even weirder for UMD, but hey, one question at a time.
Thanks in advance.

Guide to Pathfinder Society Organized Play

For the sake of simplicity, there is no difference between
an arcane and divine scroll or wand in Pathfinder Society
Organized play. Thus a bard and cleric may both use the
same scroll of cure moderate wounds.
I know this is just for PFS, but I'd imagine it should apply into non society games for ease of play.

The only thing you need to track for scrolls is the caster level and if it's arcane or divine.
The requisite ability score is the one used for determining if they are able to learn/prepare that level of spell, for whatever class they are using to have that scroll's spell on their spell list.
A cleric using a scroll uses his wisdom, and an oracle using that same scroll uses her charisma. Same for wizards vs sorcerers.
Where it gets complicated is when the rogue steps in with a Use Magic Device check. He has to roll to pretend to be a caster with that spell on his list, and may have to roll again to pretend he's smarter, wiser, or more likable than he really is.

No.
You need to keep track whether the scroll is arcane or divine, what the caster level of the scroll is, and if the spell could be of different levels.. what level spell it is for base DC, etc.
Now the reader of the scroll needs to satisfy requirements based upon who they, the reader, are.
So an Oracle would need sufficient CHA to read a divine scroll as well as have the spell on their spell list and have sufficient caster level to match that of the scroll.
Meanwhile a Cleric would need sufficient WIS to read a divine scroll.
For UMD you are pretending to be a certain class. Go with what THAT class would need.

That . . . makes a lot of sense. The rogue could mimic whatever would be most beneficial; if she has high CHA, go with mimicking an Oracle or Sorcerer, etc.
Thanks!
