Boar Style stacking effects?

I'm trying to understand the effects of Boar Style and Boar Shred as written. Is it just saying that with Boar Style you can deal 2d6 bleed damage and Boar Shred increases that by an additional 1d6?

I'm playing around with the idea for an Eidolon build - the ability to make slashing, bludgeoning or piercing attacks has its appeal.

Yes, in essence, but you missed one detail.

You deal +2d6 on your turn with Boar Style, Boar Shred increases the bleed damage obn enemy turn to 3d6 bleed.
So on the enemy turn it did take an extra 1d6.
"once per round at the start of that opponent’s turn he takes 1d6 bleed damage"

The problem with Boar Shred is 1 of 2 things. Either it is poorly worded, or poorly designed.

Let me clarify. As written, Boar Shred implies the 2d6 bleed damage dealt by Boar Style does not continue each round on the target once dealt, if you switch styles. This is an error as Bleed continues until magically healed, or a DC 15 heal check.

So if the intent was for Boar Shred to allow users to deal the 2d6 Bleed damage even if using another style feat, and to allow the 2d6 to increase to 3d6 when using Boar Shred; it's poorly worded.

If the intent was to allow the 1d6 bleed from Boar Shred to affect the opponent after switching styles, implying the 2d6 bleed from Boar Style isn't actually bleed damage and doesn't persist, then it is poorly designed.

Personally, until the Boar Style chain is clarified, only the first feat is worth taking in my opinion.

K - flagging this for FAQ.

My 'fix' for this is to pretend that the 'bleed' damage from the first Boar Style feat is actually rend damage. The third feat, Boar Shred, inflicts 1d6 continuing bleed damage, in addition to the 2d6 one shot rend damage.

The problem with calling it rend damage is that it was never intended to be a gateway to the Rending Fury feat chain.

(however I agree this is the closest thing to the intent without rewriting it)

This is how my group does it as well.

Nothing in the game should be eligible to give a character 2d6 bleed damage at level 1. Pop, pop, flee, hide. Monster dies in minimum it's hp/2 rounds unless it can magically heal itself (so, 15 rounds for the unluckiest of monks). This strategy is valid until at least level 8 in all Paizo APs, modules and probably in PFS.

That's just ridiculous.
