Well, there is; it is the only way to fire an anti-magic field onto the battlefield; otherwise it has to be centered on the caster. This is typically something you can do with a Mage 12 / arcane archer 2, and is a surprisingly compelling argument for arcane archers at high levels; but there are few spells like this where you can't always have them radiate just by casting it in the first place.
Otherwise, AA is a terrible prestige class. Most correctly recommend Eldrich Knights for "true" Arcane archery; though you end up more of a caster in that scenario.

I'm pretty sure that your exact situation is why the ability is only a second level ability in the prestige class. If it were as awesome as it seems, it'd be a capstone ability, not something you can dip in and pick up.
That said, Anti-Magic Field is a cool use of it (but honestly isn't even fantastic to use very often).
Another spell I've found is Emergency Force Sphere from the Cheliax supplement. I think it's actually the best spell to use with Imbue Arrow.
Other than those, it's just not worth it, really. Also, 3 is a fantastic place to ditch Arcane Archer and hop over to Eldritch Knight. You'll be better in the long run just finishing with EK levels. Of course, if you just really like the AA class then keep on keepin' on.
