How to read Green Prismatic Poison

Im confused on how to read it, any help would be nice. Does it cause death? does it last til death? does it only last for one round doing 1CON?

Green Poison (Frequency 1/rd. for 6 rd.; Init. effect death; Sec. effect 1 Con/rd.; Cure 2 consecutive Fort saves)*

Green prismatic poison spell varies — 1/rd. for 6 rds. Death/1 Con 2 saves —

It always takes 2 consecutive saves (over 2 rounds) to be cured.

Only the initial save threatens death, every save thereafter threatens 1 Con damage.

So once you've saved vs death, you only have to worry about Con damage (which is still really bad)

Jason said that if you make the first save you don't have to worry about the second save, and that is why this particular spell is an issue.

I'm pretty confident if a FAQ comes back, things that list multiple saves will still require multiple saves. (Esp poisons, which should be virulent)
The inconsistency is problematic though.

He asked for a reading of the rules, so I gave him one.

I gave the same ruling until I was pointed to the poison blog in the thread that the link gave him to. I am no upset by the way. I was just pointing out that we both had the same initial thought.

I think 2 saves being needed would be better for the sake of consistency also. It makes no sense for other afflictions to require 2 saves, but not for poisons.
