Toppling Spell Feat + Magic Missile

I believe I am correct by thinking that each individual targeted by a Magic Missile (Toppling) will be affected by a trip attack, but my question is, if a person is hit by multiple missiles from the same spell, is he affected by multiple trip attacks. There is no clear ruling, but I can see the logic of it working either way.

Just trying to get clarification before this comes up in game.
