Magic weapon and a just a good old fist

Rules Questions

sooo, I am not a monk I am a unarmed fighter, and after furiously face punching nothing, every time I fight anything Incorporeal, I was hoping to cast magic weapon on my fist. but the paragraph clearly says
"You can't cast this spell on a natural weapon, such as an unarmed strike (instead, see magic fang). A monk's unarmed strike is considered a weapon, and thus it can be enhanced by this spell."

Since I am not a monk, I am more a doctor of fisticuffs does that mean that Magic Weapon won't work on my fists?

Pretty much. The monk is an exception.

If you do not have access to magic fang, consider armor spikes for those unique cases.

what is he deal with armor spikes I hear people talk about them like they are some sort of Alchemist stone?

Grand Lodge

They are a weapon you have at hand at all times without filling up your hands.

explain please in detail.

Grand Lodge

Um, you always threaten, even if your hands are empty. What exactly are you looking to be explained?

how you use armor spikes?.....I don't understand the concept? pretend i am a idiot and don't read up on stuff.

are they attached to your hands? or armor? how do they help me with Ghost punching?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Armour spikes attach to armor. Their use is detailed in the armor section. When you wear spiked armor, you can use armor spikes. They count as a weapon, therefore can be made magic. Now go bodyslam a ghost.

This makes me laugh....a lot.

They're spikes attached to your armor. You hit things with them. They are manufactured, making them easily enchanted permanently or with spells like Greater Magic Weapon. You could get Ghost Touch armor spikes if you so desired.

Just buy an AoMF. Easy +1 to your main weapons.

Or if he really wants to punch ghosts, a +1 spiked gauntlet would have the same chance as a +1 sword, and if he's wearing armor there's a fair chance he's going to be wearing gauntlets as part of that armor anyway (particularly if it's heavy armor).

A basic spiked gauntlet can be enchanted with magic weapon, can't it?

Gauntlet: This metal glove lets you deal lethal damage rather than nonlethal damage with unarmed strikes. A strike with a gauntlet is otherwise considered an unarmed attack. The cost and weight given are for a single gauntlet. Medium and heavy armors (except breastplate) come with gauntlets. Your opponent cannot use a disarm action to disarm you of gauntlets.

Amulet of Mighty Fists is a perfect suggestion.

Also, yes you can enchant gauntlets, or brass knuckles, or any of the other weapons that you can apply to unarmed strikes, I believe.

Grand Lodge

I was suggesting it prior AoMF being affordable.
