Hi there,
I just had a discussion on this subject. Following situation:
There was a fight in a dense forest (1/2 speed). A darkness spell reduced the environment to complete darkness.
A player of mine has the blind fight feat and used the freedom of movement spell. This way, his opinion, he was able to move unimpaired with 4 times his speeed (running), without any need to roll skill checks to fall flat on his face.
I thought that
- 'freedom of movement' has no impact on bad footing, just magic
- 'blind fight' allows you to move without Actrobatics check up to you full speed, but not run.
Is this somehow clear by the rules?
Thanks for your suggestions!!

The only thing that impedes movement due to darkness is having the good sense to not risk tripping over something. Will this vaugly worded and ludicrously over powered spell help with that? You as DM should use your judgment on that.
You definitely are correct that Blind Fight only takes care of the speed reduction of darkness. The 'no charge or run' restriction would still be in play.
FOM...
This spell enables you or a creature you touch to move and attack normally for the duration of the spell, even under the influence of magic that usually impedes movement, such as paralysis, solid fog, slow, and web.
Darkness...
Blind creatures must make a DC 10 Acrobatics skill check to move faster than half speed. Creatures that fail this check fall prone. Blinded creatures can't run or charge.

FoM allows you to move and attack normally. If you were only in difficult terrain, you could run.
Darkness makes you unable to move faster than half speed without an acrobatics check, and you can't run or charge.
Blindfight is like a success on the acrobatics check, you can move full speed, but not run or charge.
