I'm sure this has been asked before, but searching for mounted combat rules clarifications was overwhelming. When my gnome with his lance rides his wolf on a charge, what happens to the wolf's bite attack? The gnome has to lance from 10 feet away while the wolf only has reach of five. But the wolf was the one charging, doesn't it HAVE to attack?
No. When using a mounted charged you are using the mount to take the charge action for you.
