. . . with the Dance of Blades mystery. If you add the modifiers in the order the character acquired 'em (20 base - 5 Lame mod + 10 Dance mod), you get a speed of 25. Alternately, 20 base becomes 30 base from Dance and then loses 10 from Lame to get a speed of 20.
What's right? I kinda like the oddball speed of 25, but 20 obviously keeps more of the sting of the Lame curse. Thoughts?

Well, the character I have in mind will start at 3rd level, so that's not a problem. But there's no reason the speed calculation HAS to follow that logical progression - we could consider that the Lame modifier doesn't kick in until your "base speed" has been fully established. That's what it modifies, your base speed, by either 5 or 10 depending on what that base speed is.
But that's a . . . less-than-intuitive way to do it, even though I can see wanting the Lame curse to stay significant. I mean, it still has some effect no matter what, and a 5' difference isn't HUGE, but - guess I was hoping folks with more Pathfinder experience than me might know a clarifying example (involving Barbarian or Monks or something) that'd make it all totally clear. If not, it'll be up to my GM. hmmm, he has HeroLab - I wonder how that calculates it?

Think of it this way... If you take the revelation at 3rd level or later, your base speed as a small character with the curse is always going to be 25ft. No doubt about it. No questions asked. Every time. So why then would the rules and the order suddenly change when you take it all at 1st level? It doesn't make any sense. Your base speed should be 25ft. in any order and at any level in which you take it.
