My character is going down the paladin/dragon disciple combo path.
I was wondering how bite damage worked if I wielded a 2 handed weapon and attacked for a bite as well.
I can see that if I was going with natural attacks alone, I would do 1d6 + 1-1/2 str. However, it looks like the bite attack, when making normal "manufactured" attacks, counts as a secondary attack and gets a -5 to hit.
But what is the strength bonus. 1.5 str, str or 0.5 str?
Here are some of the relevant rules extracts
Dragon disciple prestige class
Dragon Bite (Ex): At 2nd level, whenever the dragon disciple uses his bloodline to grow claws, he also gains a bite attack. This is a primary natural attack that deals 1d6 points of damage (1d4 if the dragon disciple is Small), plus 1–1/2 times the dragon disciple's Strength modifier. Upon reaching 6th level, this bite also deals 1d6 points of energy damage. The type of damage dealt is determined by the dragon disciple's bloodline.
Natural attacks (Bestiary 3 universal monster rules)
Secondary attacks are made using the creature's base attack bonus –5 and add only 1/2 the creature's Strength bonus on damage rolls. If a creature has only one natural attack, it is always made using the creature's full base attack bonus and adds 1-1/2 times the creature's Strength bonus on damage rolls.
Some creatures treat one or more of their attacks differently, such as dragons, which always receive 1-1/2 times their Strength bonus on damage rolls with their bite attack. These exceptions are noted in the creature's description.
Creatures with natural attacks and attacks made with weapons can use both as part of a full-attack action (although often a creature must forgo one natural attack for each weapon clutched in that limb, be it a claw, tentacle, or slam). Such creatures attack with their weapons normally but treat all of their available natural attacks as secondary attacks during that attack, regardless of the attack's original type.

Strength bonus to your Bite would be 0.5
It becomes a secondary attack as dictated by your last paragraph there,, and as such applies the limitation set forth in your middle paragraph.
When two weapon fighting, you have your primary and your off-hand. Those attacks take the place of your normal Bite primary attack with a 1.5 Str bonus. Since they are wielding in your claw hands, you can't make claw attacks in addition to swinging the weapons.

Now an interesting thing here is that you can drop weapons as a free action, and the Draconic sorc can grow his claws as a free action.
I can see where the argument could be made if you swung with two weapons first, then dropped them, then grew your claws, it might be possible to get attacks with them as part of the attack round. Rules for natural weapons are confusing.
Certainly it isn't implied that this should be allowed, and I wouldn't allow it to work in my game, but it is interesting in its own right.

This was discussed a while back to some length, but I stopped following the thread before its conclusion. At that point one of the two prevailing ideas were that you only get a single attack type with each "limb". You could attack with a manufactured weapon in hand, or drop it and attack with a claw instead, but you cannot attack with both as part of a single action.
The second was that this would be OK; the character would get extra attacks for a single turn, but would then either have to settle a basic natural attack progression or take an action to pick up the dropped weapons.
As I said, I'm not sure which choice won the day, or if something else took their place entirely.
