Hey guys. Im curious as to what happens" raw" if you ride by attack with a net holding on to the trailing rope. The net being treated as a one handed melee weapon because of the net adept chain of feats. Do you auto move the target auto or make a cmd or an opposed check? What happens if im on a flying mount could I fly them up and let go?

This is a good question.
I'm not seeing a good way to resolve it RAW. (as it appears illegal)
RBA uses a charge, that lets you throw(attack with) the net.
Assuming success, they are now entangled.
But a don't see anyplace where you get a free Drag attempt in the process.
If you control the trailing rope by succeeding on an opposed Strength check while holding it, the entangled creature can move only within the limits that the rope allows.
Not entirely sure when this happens, but it seems to be reactionary to their (attempted) movement.
The Drag maneuver permitted by Net Maneuvering is still a standard action.
Flyby Attack is a little better since you get a std action, but it still looks like you have the same limitations.
The only way around this that I know about is Grab, which allows a grapple check at -20 to not be grappled yourself.
In terms of the flavor of your question, I'd use a CMB(Drag) check.
(Debating about the specifics here, but I'm thinking somewhere in the -4 range for a penalty and you are unseated if you fail by 5 or more. Also, if you fail by less than 5, you only lose control of the rope.)
If it's a flying mount, they should get a free Escape Artist check with a +4 for attempting to move them into an intrinsically dangerous space.(per Grapple:Move option)

Thinking here, if there's a way to get your mount to perform the Drag, but the issue is that it's the Net Maneuvering feat that allows it to be used with a net... (and the rope would need to be tied to the mount somehow)
