X / day SLA, followed by a list?

Rules Questions

Hey there. A dispute came up between players on abilities possessed by quite a few monsters that I'm looking for an answer to.

Okay, I'll use a kraken as my example since it works well in this case.

The Kraken's SLAs are listed as:

Quote:
1/day - Control Weather, Control Winds, Dominate Monster (DC24, animal only), Resist Energy

So does it get one casting of each of those four spells per day, or one casting in total per day chosen from that list.

In a wizard/sorcerer analogy would it be more akin to having one of each of those spells prepared, or having each of those spells on a spell list with a single spontaneous casting per day?

It's not like a sorcerers, so it's once per day for each of those.

Excellent. That was what I had guessed, as the "sorcerer" method would be far less potent.

If you've got a page number or anything, it would be great to have a "just in case" resource to be able to call on if questioned.

Quote:
After listing the caster level of the creature's spell-like abilities, this section lists all of the creature's spell-like abilities, organized by how many times per day it can use the abilities. Constant spell-like abilities function at all times but can be dispelled. A creature can reactivate a constant spell-like ability as a swift action.

They are listed in order of how many time they can be cast a day to save writing space.

If they put 1/day after each one less material would fit into the book.
