The Conduit, Master of Positive and Negative Energy

Homebrew and House Rules

I got an idea of a character using positive and negative energy more or less at the same time last night while looking over the healer.

The Conduit

This is it. I feel atm it might be a tad overpowered, so I'd love some feedback on it.

Something quite similar can be achieved via feats, versatile channeling etc.

Actually, after a quick scan I think it is a bit underpowered. It expands upon cleric's channel energy feature but lacks his real power - 9th levels of divine spells. Lay On Hands/Touch of Corruption are nice addition but nothing really-really shiny when comparing to channel energy. Generally it looks as quite specialized class that can be fun to play for someone who likes the concept and can work with its limitations and strengths. I may have more comments later after reading it more carefully.

Mirrel, yeah it could be similar achieved but as a cleric you still can't use touch of corruption, can't channel out cruelties, and if you're a good cleric, channel smite is almost a wasted feat unless it's an undead campaign.

What if you gave them the same spells per day and spells list as the Adept, with a few of the newer spells thrown in?

I've made a lot of changes to the class. I'm going to work on a spell list, I need ideas for a 15th/19th level ability and for the capstone. Any ideas?
