Worst (Best?) Apocalypse Monsters?

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

There's shadows, vampires, wraiths, specters... apocalypse zombies are an official thing now and there's even a quarantined infestation somewhere in Avistan...

After playing through Carrion Crown #2, the prospect of a vargouille apocalypse is pretty terrifying. The burn is long and obvious in its late stages, but they can fly.

What's your favorite contagious apocalypse monster?

Gamers. They spread silently through the population introducing others to gaming and reproduce normally on top of that using their children to turn other innocent children into more gamers.

I'm actually thinking mothmen. Been watching plenty of walking dead, mind is on this atm. Flying mothmen, death from above, crawling over houses. Zombies are infected mothmen to be, driven insane as the moths grow in and out of them. They want to seize and infect the living.

Ran some adventures around the zombies in Isger. Had a lot of fun, a few players died. Some got really hard and it is mostly over. Town was not saved unfortunately, but now all sorts of new types can move in! Orcs and hideous giants, goblins, cleric of the old ones, monk communes, robber guilds.

Try Xill for a change! They lurk in the ethereal plane, shifting into the material to infect people with their spawn.

For some extra fun, have the infected shamble around like zombies, then when killed, spill ravenous 'xillspawn' over their attackers.

Cheese food product with sentience. We're doomed.

Kender.

*shudder*

An invasion of players with new-born children. Kills all games everywhere.
