Sczarni 2/5

Hi, I have a character nearing retirement and wanted to know how much XP is in the Eyes of Ten series? Based off the description from their blurbs it seems that all 4 parts would be 8 xp... Is this correct for those that have the scenarios? And the rule in the guide about if you level to 13 while in the middle of a multi part arc you level and can keep playing applies to this one right? So going through the arc if it's normal xp would put me at 14 2/3 level right?

Thanks

Only the first part is a two-rounder.

It's worth a total of 5xp.

Are there any other tier 12 adventures? I know there is a mod but what about a single xp adventure?

No, though there will be a special at PaizoCon that will allow 12+ characters.

Needing something that would be ran local not at Paizo con as I cannot afford to go.

The one run at this Paizocon, will hopefully be released later, allowing you to eventually make through, but you may have to wait a while.

Though that is possible since we have a new PFS head, I will say that none of the Specials from PaizoCon have ever been released to the public as far as I am aware.

The Exchange 4/5

The Grand Convocation is a different beast than your standard scenario, and even from your Specials. I do not think any region would be able to run and coordinate it, especially from what I've heard they've done in the past.

/Looking forward to my first PaizoCon this year though!

The Exchange 5/5

The two modules eligible for level 12 characters are

They Ruby Phoenix Tournament is written for level 11 characters. This is your best option between the two.

Academy of Secrets is written for level 13 characters. This module could be rough for a group of level 12 PCs who don’t have the xp or gp from the Eyes of Ten series.

If you play a module, while you are at 31or32 xp, you only gain enough xp to reach 33 xp. This is meant to prevent you from starting the Eyes of Ten series at 34or35 xp.

If you are at 33xp (12th level) at the start of the module you will gain 3xp from the module as normal progressing you to 36xp (13th level).

If you start the Eyes of Ten scenarios you must finish the entire series before playing anything else with that character.

Grand Lodge 1/5

This year will be my first Paizocon as well! So looking forward to it!

@Dragnmoon: Oh, perhaps I am mistaken. We just went through the grand finale of Season 2, which I thought was a Con exclusive. I must be getting things confused.

The Season Special is not Run first until GenCon.

Is there a way to reach level 14 at the end of Eyes of the Ten?

Alternatively, is there a way to gain one XP after completing
Eyes of the Ten? Either way, it would allow reaching level 14.

.

It would be nice to earn 33+5+1=39 XP for level 14, and start
playing modules that are each worth 3 XP, for one level each.

Otherwise, the 5 XP from Eyes of the Ten are worth one level.

The Exchange 4/5

There is not another way to get to 14 at the end of Eyes of the Ten. Although, PaizoCon and GenCon will now have 12+ events, which means that if you bring your retired characters with you and can field a table, you will be able to earn that 1 XP to push you to the next level.

It's actually pretty advantageous to play Academy of Secrets right after EoT. I just did it this past weekend. You're on level for the mod as written, with a special heaping of GP from EoT.

A group of us from GA are planning to do this very thing. We just got done playing Academy of Secrets and we are looking to play Tomb of the Iron Medusa real soon to put us at 15.2. We all plan to go to GenCon and play in the Special, putting us at 16 even. Then we can do The Moonscar (for 16th level PCs) and then The Witchwar Legacy (for 17th level PCs).

I think that's a pretty big assumption that you'll successfully complete 3 encounters..
