The favored weapon of Asmodeus is listed in several places (Core Rulebook, Faiths of Corruption, and the Inner Sea World Guide) as simply "Mace" without any indication of whether it is the light mace or the heavy mace. Since both are simple weapons, it won't really matter to Clerics and Inquisitors as far as proficiency goes, but there are some spell effects that are specific to the favored weapon. Which should it be?

Historically, someone who normally fights from horseback would be more apt to have a light mace, someone who fights w/ boots in the mud w/ a heavy mace.
I assume Asmodeus it not normally characterized as fighting astride a mount, but I don't know. He's pretty strong and could swing a heavy mace mounted anyway.
Unless he is STRONGLY associated w/ being mounted, I would say the clerics should go with heavy or allow both to be considered favored.

Back in the day, [AD&D] Asmodeus had an artifact, a rather huge scepter; it would have been a heavy mace analog.
As there is a favoured weapon listing of "light crossbow" and no notation on Asmodeus, I'd guess that any mace would get His smile... though I'd probably house-rule (in a home game) that it ought to be "heavy mace" and they just forgot. But I'm all for older tradition=better, so take it with a grain of Lot's wife.
