Lion Blade??

Advice

Grand Lodge

I am thinking of playing a lion blade in an upcoming Council Of Thieves Adventure Path. I am thinking of starting as a bard - go for three levels and switch. I realize this is probably not the most optimized class, its just something I want to play though, anyway I need some help.

1) Weapon - Scimitar, whip, kukri??? This affects to a great degree the next two questions in archetypes. I'm personally leaning towards the whip, cause its something I've wanted to play, but I'm open.

2) If ninja is allowed - Ninja or rogue?? If rogue, which if any archetype?? Obviously if I go kukri I would go knifefighter, don't know with the other two.

3) Bard - I want to keep versatile performance and have to keep inspire competence(for the PRC), and would like to keep bardic knowledge(to make all checks untrained). Which Archetype should I go with. I am leaning towards none - unless I go scimitar - in which case I would go Dawnflower Dervish. As I'm only in this class for three levels, I'd like to switch out spells, but don't see a way to do that.

4) Race - I'm leaning heavily to half-elf: 2 favored classes, +2 any stat, Very Important - Skill Focus! The reason this is important is otherwise I can't take weapon finesse till my 2nd level of rogue or level 5, that's a lot of sucking. Or I can't enter the class till level 8, which means I can't cap it. I know the campaign will only take us to between 16-17.

5) Versatile Performance - Perform - Act or Sing??? Act is so much better, but wastes 8 skill points instead of 3. I really want all those bonuses to disguise though to (Skill focus) as the class is heavily built around it. Also Act is supposed to be the BEST perform in this campaign. Thoughts.

6) Any other thoughts/ideas??

Thanks!!

1) Scimitar, then take the dervish dance feat.
2) Ninja is a rogue, and can take rogue archetypes.
3) Sandman if staying in the class until 5th is an option.
4) Human does all that you need.
5) Overrated.
6) Maestro of the Society is a must have trait.

1) Probably just take dervish bard - I get that feat for free.
2) They don't qualify for the ones that would affect me, they don't get the trap skill sets.
3) Sandman looses inspire competence so is a no go.
6) Excellent trait! Thanks!

Lion Blade is a prestige class.

Sovereign Court

Instead of scimitar, you could go with a falcata (exotic one handed 1d8 19-20/x3) by taking ancestral arms. But to get +2d6 sneak attack don't you need 3 levels in rogue?
