Yeah, there's some. Asuras are mostly immune to curse effects. Linnorms are, too. Still, those monsters are not typically fought in large numbers, and Bestow Curse is still a good spell despite not being totally univerally effective. (And of course, it's still affected by SR, and things that are immune to magic in general, like golems, are unaffected by it.)

The only limiting factor I have ever run into with bestow curse is that it's a touch spell. That may not seem like much, but a caster either has to rick blowing a concentration check to cast it while threatened, or has to cast it one round and move up, then deliver it the next round.
That said, it's a major magus choice of wizard spells to pick up, and Ive had an oracle with Reach Spell make great use out of it, especially against giants and other high damage, low Will save targets.

Well, it's an Oracle I'm using it with.
I dunno if I'd ever try it with a Wizard, but as an Oracle (or Cleric), I try to be close to the party anyway in case I need to do some emergency healing, which means that I'm often in the fray. If an enemy gets in my proximity, I can give them a little touch and then 5-foot step away.
If I was a Wizard, I'd definitely be on the other side of the room.
I think it's a good one to have on a spontaneous divine caster since while the use is circumstantial, you have other spells to use your spell slots on anyway.
