When I began playing PFS a couple months ago, I was obsessed with trying to build a Gutbuster (Thibbledorf Pwent) type character, but my lack of knowledge and doubt in the "viability" (keeping up with others at my table) has prevented this. Any fans of R. A. Salvatore's Drizzt series will immediately know what I'm talking about, but for those of you who don't, here's the basic concept:
The Gutbuster is an elite member of the Dwarven army that has been intensively trained in the use of special bladed and spiked armor. These insane warriors rush their enemy, punching, gouging and slashing with all their might. Their real prowess comes when they can grapple an opponent. Once the Gutbuster has a hold, he begins to vigorously shake, allowing the bladed armor to make mincemeat of said enemy. Gutbuster's are fearless, charging into any fight with reckless abandon. Despite their heavy armor, Battlerager's are extremely agile.
With that in mind, I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction on how to build this crazy bastard. I know he would be grapple based, but I'm not sure how his damage would work. After his opponent is grappled, he could do spiked gauntlet damage, but not much else (I could be completely wrong on this).

I'd get armor with armor spikes, that should allow you to injure people while grappling. Carry no other weapon. Well maybe some throwing axes or light hammers to throw at those pesky people out of range
To keep with the theme of the build i'd go Brutal Pugilist Drunken Brute 5/Fighter X or just straight Brutal Pugilist Drunken Brute. Get to 5th Brutal Pugilist for the Improved Savage Grapple, so you are treated one size category larger for grappling. Getting the Strength Surge rage power is a must.
Feats Improved Unarmed Strike, Improved Grapple, Greater Grapple, Raging Vitality[APG], Chokehold[UC], Pinning Rend[UC], Rapid Grappler[uc]
Most of these feats are combat feats, so once you hit Brutal Pugilist Drunken Brute 5th feel free to dip into some fighter to get these feats faster and some extra AC and damage
Feel free to get heavy armor by the way, the only barbarian ability (that i could find) that requires you were light/medium is fast movement, but if you pick up Drunken Brute you trade that in anyway.
Stat wise, dump char, dump it right down, normally i don't like seeing 7's but for Pwent, well 5 char sounds about right.
As far as damage goes, if you use armor spikes you can damage people while grappling with that, so 1d6+str, so yeah not bad at all...
this seems like fun actually, i might make one...

I'm trying to stat him first
str 18 (17)
dex 13 (3)
con 14+2(5)
int 11 (1)
wis 8+2(-2)
char 7-2(-4)
actually i kinda wanna go 19 point buy and leave him at 10 int, just because it's more suited
gear at level one will probably be spiked scale mail, some light hammers and other general adventuring gear.

Animal Fury is a great rage power for grappling.
Once you've got greater grapple and rapid grappler, you can make 3 grapple checks per round, each one includes a free bite attack, and if you succeed you're doing armor spike damage. Essentially 6 attacks per round.
And if you're doing other stuff, like pinning people and tying them up, you still get to bite them a few times for good measure!
I see no reason that the battlerage can't be a biter!

I'd even go so far as to stat him to
Str 18
Dex 15
Con 16 (+2)
Int 9
Wis 9 (+2)
Cha 5 (-2)
He was never smart, wise, or socially acceptable.
Dwarf with Relentless racial optional for sure.(+2 bullrush/overrun)
For 12th level build:
Take 8 levels Drunken Brute/brutal pugilist Barb / 4 Brawler Fighter
Gets weapon training with close group, which spiked armor/spiked gauntlets are. +1/+3 damage.
Take Imp Bullrush, spiked destroyer, imp grapple, gr grapple, rapid grapple, imp unarmed, TWF, TW Rend(if dex increasing item available)or chokehold.
Rage Powers: Animal Fury, knockback, Strength Surge, (if more barb levels aquired take no escape, quick reflexes, and increased DR)
