Possession mechanics?

Rules Questions

As part of a character's back story, they are meant to be possesed by an entity that has been lurking in a back corner of their sole since birth.

Is anyone aware of any mechanics already in place that I can use to represent this ?

I am not aware of anything in Pathfinder but 3.5 had possession rules and information in the Eberron setting for the Quori. Also I think Book of Vile Darkness and the books for the 9 Hells and the Abyss had some more on possession as well, 'Lords of the Hells' and 'Lords on the Abyss' if my memory serves (warning, it is not as reliable as it used to be).

There's the possessed oracle, although that kinda requires at least one level of oracle. :)

As an aside, why is this entity lurking in our characters foot?

Well apparently editing and deleting are either not working or have been disabled. The above should properly read:

"As an aside, why is this entity lurking in your characters foot? :)"

There are Pathfinder possession rules in Pathfinder AP #28.
