Spell resistance and you

Rules Questions

Do you have to beat your own spell resistance when you cast a spell. Say, a druid has Spell resistance, and tries to cast heal on itself, Does he have to beat his own spell resistance. I know that you have to beat SR to heal allies, or harm enemies.

Target or Targets: Some spells have a target or targets. You cast these spells on creatures or objects, as defined by the spell itself. You must be able to see or touch the target, and you must specifically choose that target. You do not have to select your target until you finish casting the spell.

If the target of a spell is yourself (the Target line of the spell description includes “You”), you do not receive a saving throw, and spell resistance does not apply. The saving throw and spell resistance lines are omitted from such spells.

Nope

Note that the heal spell does not include You in the target line.

An example of a spell that includes you in the target line is shield.

That is not to say that Snigg is wrong, he is right, just for the wrong reason... what he is looking for is this quote from the Spell Resistance write up:

A creature's spell resistance never interferes with its own spells, items, or abilities.
