Geas question

Rules Questions

Can you place both geas and lesser geas upon a creature and have the use the same command on both of them?

I don't see why a target couldn't be affected by both spells at the same time.

But as to whether or not the penalties come from the same source, probably. I certainly don't think they'd stack to -20, and you'd be lucky if it accelerated the loss to -5/24hr, which I also doubt.

Also, Lesser has a HD limit of 7 (and a save negates with a 1 day/CL duration), so it wouldn't be particularly useful.

I forgot to say that, the target is a valid target for lesser geas and in the scenario she loses her will save, also the command is the same with both spells.
You are right on spot Archaeik, i am trying to figure out if the penalties from both spells stack or not, if they do stack what is the maximum penalty, and finally if they do stack what is the rate of the loss.

I wonder what would happen if you cast both on a single target, but gave conflicting commands for each... :D

You good sir are very sinister.

Scarab Sages

I would rule that they don't stack, since Geas references Lesser Geas (the exceptions being save and HD), I see them as the same source. It probably could have been worded clearer (like mark of justice/bestow curse), but confusing verbiage is the name of the game.
