Arcane gun help please

Does the spell slingers ability arcane gun work basically like the magus's ability to cast a weapon? Using the weapons crit range and making normal attack roll instead of touch attack?

Nope, by casting a spell through a gun as a spell singer you simply add the gun's enhancement bonus to the save DC's of the spell (if any), and it's bonus to the attack roll for the spell (if any).
