I've recently come across a problem with Mysterious Gunslinger. It's grit is based off CHA, but it still uses wisdom for stunning shot and menacing shot.

Is this how it is suppose to be?

Normally that changes too, since the feature those come from are changed.

Yeah, but my DM says those are still wisdom based because that was what was written and mysterious stranger doesn't change anything but grit being cha based.

Liberty's Edge

By RAW your DM is correct, only things explicitly changed are changed. However, its kind of obvious that everything else should work off of charisma as well, and I wouldn't have a problem changing it in my games.

I could have sworn there was a feat that was based around firearms that used wis or cha.

I thought it was amateur gunslinger.. but that's just wis..

Focused Aim (Ex)

At 1st level, as a swift action, the mysterious stranger can spend 1 grit point to gain a bonus on all firearm damage rolls equal to her Charisma modifier (minimum 1) with all firearm attacks she makes until the end of her turn. At 7th level, when she uses the dead shot deed, she multiplies this bonus by the number of hits she made while rolling the Dead Shot attack.

This deed replaces the quick clear deed.

Stranger’s Fortune (Ex)

Starting at 5th level, a mysterious stranger can ignore a firearm misfire a number of times per day equal to her Charisma bonus. She can use this ability as a free action.

This ability replaces gun training.

Nah, it was an actual feat.

those abilities alone are not enough to convince my DM of anything.

This is really disheartening..
