Magi used to qualify for other feats as though they had the Arcane Strike feat due to their similar class abilities (namely Arcane Pool). Is this no longer true? I can't seem to find a reference for it anymore.

Why wouldn't they qualify for it?

They cast arcane spells, don't see why they can't qualify

All arcane strike requires is that you be able to cast arcane spells.

Liberty's Edge

Arcane Strike, Prerequisite: Ability to cast arcane spells.

*ahem* Please reread the first post.

I missed the "as though". I don't remember that ruling. I would say not without rules or an FAQ to back it up.

I can't find anything in the UM book, PRD, or SRD that states that a magus counts as having the Arcane Strike feat or that the magus gets ignore needing to have the Arcane Strike feat when it's a prerequisite for other feats. I don't know where you saw mention that the Magus's Arcane Pool counted for simulating Arcane Strike when it's a prerequisite for other feats, because it doesn't.

It was from the playtest I believe. I thought it had carried over, but I guess not.
