Zen Archer and Crusader's Flurry

Rules Questions

Question - Can a Zen Archer (after taking 1 level dip into Crusader Cleric) gain flurry of blows with his god's preferred weapon (lets say its a katana)? So he would now have flurry of blows with his bow and katana, yes?

Quote:

Crusader's Flurry

You learned to use your deity’s favored weapon as part of your martial arts form.

Prerequisites: Channel energy class feature, flurry of blows class feature, Weapon Focus with your deity’s favored melee weapon.

Benefit: You can use your deity’s favored weapon as if it were a monk weapon.

Flurry of Blows (Ex)

Starting at 1st level, a zen archer can make a flurry of blows as a full-attack action, but only when using a bow (even though it is a ranged weapon). He may not make a flurry of blows with his unarmed attacks or any other weapons. A zen archer does not apply his Strength bonus on damage rolls made with flurry of blows unless he is using a composite bow with a Strength rating.

A zen archer’s flurry of blows otherwise functions as normal for a monk of his level.

A zen archer cannot use Rapid Shot or Manyshot when making a flurry of blows with his bow.

Crusader's Flurry does not give the ability to flurry outright, it only allows you to treat the weapon as if it had the monk quality.

A Zen Archer gives up the ability to flurry with everything other than bows. So no, you cannot get around the flurry restriction with Crusader's Flurry.

On the other hand I don't think there is anything stopping a normal monk from using the feat to flurry with a longbow, if what you want is to flurry at both range and in melee...

Unfortunately it says your deity’s favored melee weapon.
I had the same thought.

That might be something that needs errata since certain Dieties don't even have favored melee weapons though it might have been for some unseen balance reason.

ah nuts didnt see that part
