Favored Class question

Samurai are an "alternate" class of Cavalier base class (UC pg. 18)
does the Samurai benifit from the Cavalier "Favored Class" bonuses?

A character can't have both Cavalier and Samurai levels. However, you're probably thinking of the alternate favoured class benefits allowed by different races. The question has come up before.

Samurai is Cavalier, therefore the favored class bonuses apply.
