Party member as a temporary mount?

I am playing an elven cavalier with a horse which is difficult to bring into dungeons. There is druid in our party (level 12) who can wildshape into all sorts of cool stuff...for example a cavern lizard. Is it feasible he wildshape into something like that so I can maximize my cavalier charge abilities?

If your Druid friend doesn't find it demeaning, the rules don't care where your mount comes from. Just make sure he wild shapes into a creature which is well suited to being a mount, or you'll take -5 on ride checks even with the saddle (SRD Ride Skill).

At NYC clubs in the early 90's, such as the Limelight, there was a well muscled dude who wore no shirt, but did wear a custom made leather saddle, and he'd ride girls around on his back. Craziest thing. You walk into the club and this dude is galloping around with a bit in his mouth and some giggling video model atop him.

His game may have been a strange one, but the man definitely had game.

Characters riding wild shaped druids as mounts is a long practiced tradition in the game.

My druid wouldn't like it, but that's more because she's sorta anti-social than that she would feel demeaned...
