How this two feats interact?

They contradict eachother. I would let my player use both, so having two performance feat out of stage combats.

I think they work together.
You use Performing Combatant, and choose Masterful Display as your performance feat to use. You gain no bonus. If you succeed on your performance combat check, then you gain the full effect of Masterful Display, so on any further performance combat check you would gain the benefits of those two feats.
This could be totally wrong, though. I don't really understand how it works.
