Psionics question

Product Discussion

Can psionics be substituted when taking a prestige class that gives a spells per day increase?

Example: will this work for an arcane trickster? psion (with the power that mimics Mage hand) that can manifest 2nd level powers + level 3 rogue with 2d6 sneak attack + the additional alignment and skill requirements

Before the obvious is stated I know it says arcane in the name :-). But this is what I wish to achieve.

Thanks in advance

I believe the technical answer is, "no." The more practical answer is "yes, if the GM OKs it." I can't immediately think of a situation where such a substitution would break anything.

Yeah check with your GM most probably won't have an issue if psionics are already on the table.

By the rules no, but asking your GM to make a similar class is a good idea.

I'll allow it.

If the GM and other players are ok with it, it can work. Remember though 1) psionics can still be manifested in all armor, and 2) a psion-based Trickster will be an even weaker manifester/caster than an Arcane Trickster.
