Sorry if this has been posted before, I can't find it anywhere though.
For example say we have this poison " frequency 1/round for 6 rounds; effect 1d4 Dex; cure 1 save" ( from the giant whiptail centipede)
Does the damage taken last until the 6 rounds end or the save is made and then become cured or is the victim stuck with any damage they've suffered until it's cured by magic or something else?
Equally if they're knocked unconscious by the poison do they come back to life once the 6 rounds end or they make their save or does that last until they can get a proper cure?
Thanks.

since the language can be a bit finicky and everyone is tossing the term cured around...
Does the damage taken last until the 6 rounds end or the save is made and then become cured or is the victim stuck with any damage they've suffered until it's cured by magic or something else?
-the damage lasts until it is healed, naturally(as noted above) or magically(ie any damage taken persists after the duration wears off or the save is made)
Equally if they're knocked unconscious by the poison do they come back to life once the 6 rounds end or they make their save or does that last until they can get a proper cure?
-the condition lasts until their relevant ability score is above zero
to be clear
For example say we have this poison " frequency 1/round for 6 rounds; effect 1d4 Dex; cure 1 save" ( from the giant whiptail centipede)
-a character affected by this poison takes a cumulative 1d4 dexterity damage each round for a maximum of 6 rounds; if a save is made, the threat of additional damage is ended, but any damage already taken remains unless healed
additional applications of the poison refresh the duration(of 6 rounds)
and typically, multiple applications in the same round increase the save DC by 2 each(affecting the entire duration of the poison)
