How many hours does it take to complete a Module?

Ok. I know that a PFS module should take the standard 4-hour meetup. What is the average runtime for a Gamemastery Module? Also, what is the average runtime for an Adventure Path book?

In my experience, 8 to 12 hours, depending on whether or not the players decide to explore every inch of the map.

It really depends on the product.

Some can be played in 2-4 sessions.
Some are a bit more epic in scale...

We've been playing through Rise of the Runelords at what I consider to be a very fast pace and we've been averaging about 44 hours per book.

I know most people seem able to finish them much much faster, but honestly I'm baffled as to how that's possible without skipping large sections of the adventure.

We did Second Darkness at a pace of about 4-6 sessions a book, ~5 hours a session, but the first hour is mostly flapping our jaws until someone invokes the "D&D is Serious" clause and we get down to it.

So average it out, about 20-25 hours per AP module.

At first that seems outrageous, but I'm running through it as well. We've had maybe...10 sessions? Average of 3 hours each. We probably have 2, maybe 3 sessions left before the end of the book. So not terribly far off. We'll probably clock under 40, and I just found out we've been getting screwed on XP so we're like almost through it and only 2nd level still :-/ which has made some things difficult.

For an average group who has some sense of focus, assuming other APs are similar, I'd expect 2 months of 4 hour weekly sessions per book.
