No the difficulty in waiting is the same, its just that now the wait has been four years, so what's one more month? Two more weeks... :)

Wow, getting into the top 8 but not the top 4 is a double whammy. No prize but no chance next year? Ouch

I'm not quite sure about the no prize bit. Someone who makes top 8 has most likely been noticed by several 3pps as well as Paizo. I'm sure if they ask for work, they are going to get offered something and start their freelancing career with a big head start compared to those who did not make it into the competition. I think it is all about what you do once you have that foot in the door.

Good luck, and God's blessings on all the entrants! (And judges, too - wisdom to you and peace during the difficult decisions!)

Thank you very much. That means a lot to me.

Ten days to go as I pull an all-nighter to "fix" my sleep schedule. I wish this time would fly. The on/off nature of my internet has been helping the anticipation either. I want to see how far my item actually made it. Money say not top-32 but I say that with the secret hopes of getting there. The resources the judges and forum members have given are superb and that makes me feel very well armed. Just walking around with the armory of knowledge feels overwhelming. Not sure if you used everything you should have or if it would have been better applied to something else.

Also posting next to judges who are so active... jitters. I have never seen such community mingling. Maybe I need to get of those other forums. I am rambling now...

My only regret is that, a few days after I submitted, I started having this feeling of knowing why the judges will shred my item to little pieces and throw them in the "reject" bin.

Well, until the 24th there's always hope :-)

That is just you growing as a designer, always happens after pushing the submit button, but it is a sign that you are improving.

Year 6 should agree more with my avatar ;->

I didn't enter this year, having concluded item creation is not my forte, but I have - ah - been practising reviews.
Good luck to those who are about to make the top 32... ;)

I always been a big fan of my fellow succubus here, i find her point of view way more appealing.
after all the opinion of our refined succubus taste is the only one that really matters... I mean, is not like these flamboyant adventurers are not going to submit to our beauty or survive our hatred if they don't....
so why bother...

p.s. I feel sorry for your condition as a succubus under the rule of orcus.
feel free to visit me in my rotten flesh free manor.
we can exchange tips for keeping paladin pets (I usually prefer bards, they comes with more experience as entertainers and less social akwardness but... what the hell)

The cake isn't a lie, it's just poisoned. Which might be worse.

Thanks for the encouragement. I'm actually quite nervous. I'm hoping either myself and/or a friend make it past the first round.
