I've looked over a good number of the posts regarding this feat, but only a few of my outstanding questions seem to have solid answers.
1. Multiple metamagics. These seem to be allowed, but it only absorbs 1 of them.
1a. Total spell level can't exceed 9, so no doubling up quicken with something else on 5th level spells?(or heighten to 9 plus 8 more levels of MM on a 1st level)
2. Feats that have their bonuses doubled. It's pretty obvious the type of the bonus they intend, but do certain other things apply?
Spell Specialization?
Augment Summoning?
other metamagics? particularly...
Intensified Spell?
Piercing Spell?
Heighten Spell?
Extend/Enlarge/Widen Spell?
...I suppose that's getting into "what constitutes a set numerical bonus?" (along with Burning Spell, or Dazing Spell etc that work off of individual spell level)
and the fringe contenders
Additional Traits
Eldritch Heritage(specifically greater-arcane that boosts a school DC by 2)
Any input is welcome, but I'm hoping for something more definitive. I just wish the feat description was a little more specific.

Spell focus is not a metamagic feat. This feat doesn't double metamagic values, it doubles the static effects that other feats apply to your spells.
Spell focus for example gives +1 bonus to a given spell school. The effect is set (static), it's not a metamagic feat, you can never cast from this school without it, thus it's effect is doubled.
You choose if or if not to apply a metamagic feat to something, so it wouldn't be considered a set numerical bonus, because it's not set.
The feat only says it effects feats, so Eldritch Heritage, traits and such shouldn't apply.
You do however still get the free metamagic feat.
As a side note, It's impossible to double quicken anything, since you can only make one swift action per round.
There are some fun tricks with this feat however.
Greater Spell focus can be combined with Greater Elemental Focus for a total of +8 to the spell DC. You can even use "Elemental Spell" as your free metamagic feat and make your Finger of Death super evil.
This feat, alongside, Spell Specialization, Varisian Tattoo, and Bloatmage Initiate can raise your caster level in necromancy to +8. Then with the spells Deathwine, Death knell, and the Drug Aether you can actually have a caster level of at least +13!

yeah, I was thinking more about how to word it better and I guess I came up with "automatic" bonuses(directly from feats) are doubled
however, this would still seem to apply to augment summoning and superior summoning
and I wasn't asking about 2 quickens
quicken is just the highest adjustment short of max heighten(which there seems to be some debate about whether heighten even works with spell perfection since it adjusts level in addition to slot)
doubling up is in terms of the metamagic only
if you can absorb the level adjustment AND still apply more metamagic (pushing it past effective 9th), that's kind of silly - also it would favor perfecting a lower level spell to optimize this
interesting about the CL increases, although, I'm a little curious how much that would actually buy you? A bonus to any SR checks?
are there any "max 20dX" spells that a CL 12 with intensify could benefit from this? (CL 17, sure)
anyway, thanks for the input
