Is it a faux-pas to ask to wear a Cassisian?

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

Just as the title says.
I am thinking of getting a Cassisian angel as an improved familiar for my Paladin/Summoner (via Eldritch Heritage) and wondering if it is socially and/or religiously acceptable to try to wear it on your head?
Its natural form is that of a flying helmet...
If I did, how obvious would it be to people that it is actually a creature itself, would there be any way to bluff that it is just a normal (albeit magical) helmet?

Thoughts, Suggestions?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Steve Buscemi's character in Con Air drove through 3 states wearing a woman's head as a helmet.

I'm just sayin.

Well, that character was definitely on the 'evil' side of alignments...
But then he had to kill her to do it, I am thinking of more of a partnership type of thing...

Does anybody know how obvious it would be if I pretended it was just a helmet? I suppose maybe anyone with KN: Religion/Planes would know...

Well considering they have abilities that apply specifically to being worn I imagine it's not a particularly big deal.

It probably would be pretty obvious to people who know of such thigns. And particulalrly obvious when it starts chastising you for not properly introducing it in conversation.

should be acceptable (altough not with your forum portrait), however the knowledge (planes?) check to recognize it should not be modifiable by bluff, but putting cloth on it should make it impossible.

However if the helm uses no powers whatsoever, the knowledge check should be a lot more difficult to near impossible, GM decision.

Just don't let it gain another HD and take a rank in ride and mounted combat.

Hahahahha.. nice
